           Upon receiving an invitation letter, the student will contact the Ukraine embassy in his / her country in order to
apply for the student visa.

 

For the attention of prospective students!

          

         Dear students,We value you desire to continue your education in a Ukrainian higher educational institution.

In order to make your first trip to Ukraine and entering our country as pleasant as possible please be sure that your documents are in order. Disobeying any of the following simple requirements could cause your immediate return to country of your residence. Please remember that Ukrainian immigration officers at the ports of entry of Ukraine will ask you to present the following documents:

 

1.Passport with the Ukrainian entry student visa.

2.Original invitation letter for study.

3.Original education certificate with grades (points) obtained for the subjects.

4.Original birth certificate.

5.Original medical examination certificate certified by the official body of health protection. (Important! It should be issued not later than two months before the day of entering Ukraine).

6.Original HIV-test certificate.

7.Insurance policy on rendering emergency medical assistance (except foreigners who come from the states that signed treaties with Ukraine concerning free emergency medical assistance).

8.Six photographs (size 60x40 mm).

9.Return airline ticket to the country of your residence valid for 1 year.

 

Documents listed in items No 3 to 5 must be legalised. What does it mean?    

Legalising or authenticating documents means that official public documents are affixed, sealed and signed either with an Apostille Certificate 

Normally Apostille certificates are affixed by the Ministry of Justice or Foreign Affairs of the country of origin of the public document.

Legalisation is done by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the country of origin of the public document.

Apostille certificates must be attached to the original certificates only without involving any Notary Public. Legalisation stamps must be on the original certificates as well.

 

What you must do?

You must deliver your original education certificate with grades (points) obtained for the subjects, birth certificate and medical examination certificate certified by the official body of health protection to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or other authorised institution of the issuing country and ask the legal officer to affix a Certificate/Stamp of Authentication/Legalisation or attach an Apostille Certificate.

Please also remember that you must enter Ukraine between 15 August and 15 November. For preparatory / pre university, admission is open throughout the whole academic year. If you are entering Ukraine after 15 November please make sure that your particulars are present in the list of students, who enter Ukraine after 15 November. This list is compiled by the Ministry of Education of Ukraine and is present in all ports of entry of Ukraine. You must address with this issue directly to the higher educational institution or intermediary company that helped you.

How to get a Ukrainian entry student visa?

       For obtaining a Ukrainian entry student visa please submit to diplomatic or consular post of Ukraine in country mentioned in the item of you Invitation letter for study named Place of issue of the visa the following:

 

1.Valid travelling Passport.

 

2.Completed and signed visa application form plus 2 passport size photographs.

 

3.Original invitation letter for study.

 

4.Original or copy (depending on the issuing country procedures) education certificate with grades (points) obtained for the subjects, legalised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the issuing country.

 

5.Original or copy (depending on the issuing country procedures) birth certificate, legalised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the issuing country.

 

6.Original medical examination certificate certified by the official body of health protection, legalised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the issuing country. (Important! It should be issued not later than two months before the day of entering Ukraine).

 

7.Original HIV-test certificate.

 

Please note that almost in all cases consular officer of the Ukrainian Embassy will ask you to come in person for interview.

 

The consular officer will issue a student visa, certify the translation of documents, listed in items No 4 to 7, legalise the documents, listed in items No 4 to 6.

 

We kindly advice you not pay any consular fees in advance (except those required for visa application). Upon examining your documents consular officer will instruct you on the payment amount and details. For your information the visa fee is $100.

 

NB: ALL DOCUMENTS NEEDED TO BE TRANSLATED IN UKRAINIAN LANGUAGE ARE ONLY BEING TRANSLATED BY THE UKRAINIAN EMBASSY ONLY.

 

IMPORTANT NOTE

After getting the visa e-mail us the scanned copy of the documents in the list above.

After buying the air ticket, you should send us a scanned copy of it so that we can send your flight details to the airport immigration officials.  

NB: Ensure you have all the required documents before leaving your country.

Entry into Ukraine will be denied if you’re missing an important document.

We’ll assist you with the airport pickup and transfers from the international airports in Ukraine i.e. Borispol International Airport, Kharkiv International Airport, Lviv International Airport, Dnepropetrovsk International Airport and Odessa International Airport. You must inform us before or after booking the ticket so that we can arrange for the pickup.
